F.A.Q.
“How much do you charge?”
This depends on what you need from us. Do you want to day hire? Do you need an engineer or producer? Do you need a song written? etc. All quite extreme variables, Get in touch, We’re competitive and are willing to fit around your budget.
“I’m a singer song writer, I need a band to record!”
All three producers at Cube started as professional musicians. We’ve got you covered! If its an instrument that’s a little different, we have regular, experienced studio musicians we can call upon.
“How long is a ‘day’ at Cube Recording?”
10am – 5pm is a standard day but other hours can be arranged upon request.
“What can I achieve in a day?”
On average, a song a day and a half day to mix. We’ve done quicker, we’ve done slower. Depends on the client.
“What do I need to bring?”
We have a drum kits, amps, guitars and bass’ which we know work in different situations. Your also more than welcome to bring your own! Please ensure skins and strings are fresh and intention on stringed instruments is correct, we want the very best results for you!
“I’ve recorded with you… what next?”
On a personal level we help all our clients with the next step no matter how big or small that step might be. Duplication, gigs or signing deal, we’ll point you in the right direction.
OUR LOCATION, NR PERRANPORTH
Although Perranporth has a glorious rural setting, it’s pretty straight forward getting here, regardless of your mode of transport. Perranporth as a destination can offer everything you wish for whilst on holiday. However, should you wish to venture a little further afield, it’s also a perfect base to explore from, never too far from many of the other gems that Cornwall has to offer.
Location wise, Perranporth is situated on the rugged Coast of South West Cornwall, approximately 8 miles West of Truro, 8 miles South of Newquay and 4 miles North of St Agnes.
Student Work Experience Weeks
Here at Cube we have had many years of taking pupils from local schools and colleges on work experience weeks and as you can imagine we get a lot of enquiries about this.
We do feel however that having a student sit at the back of the room for a week, unable to engage isn’t really work experience and not very rewarding and to be honest some of our paying clients aren’t comfortable having people in the room while they record their masterpiece !!
So….
We decided to offer a more hands-on work experience for a small amount of students to come to the studio for a week and learn about the recording and mixing process. We will have a tame band /artist ready to record and can go through the whole process from initial set to completion of a recording over the 5 days. Students will be encouraged to get involved and be able to see and hear the effects of their involvement.
At the end of the week the students can take a copy of the recording away with them.
All engineers are DBS checked
We are offering two options for this
1. Full band record / rock indie production
2. Singer songwriter / pop production
Days are 930 am -5pm with a lunch break ( bring pack lunch )
Places are limited and do come with a cost
For the week long experience the cost is £300 per student
